Help deciding on new truck

I currently have a 05 Ram 2500 qcsb w/ 6pd. As much as I love the motor in the truck I need something with a bigger cab and an automatic. I've narrowed my search to 06-early 07 megacab 05- early 07 duramax, and 08-10 6.4 ford. Just wondering what anybody's experience with any of these are. I'm aware of the issues with the dodges having dealt with most of them already.

What model do you want (Lariat, King ranch, etc.)? Do you plan on deleting the emisisons systems? What's your price range?

lookin xlt or lariat in a ford and comparable in dodge and chevy looking to spend around 30. Yes for removing the emissions crap

You can easily get an xlt 6.4 for 30. A lariat might be around 35 in really good condition. The 6.4 is a great motor once you delete all the emissions crap. I'd definitely go for a 6.4 over the others. The duramax in that time period are prone to overheating and the dodges were still really crappy quality wise.

Well if you keep the emissions equipment, there have been horror stories of melted pistons and such. Also, if you delete, your mileage will improve.

However if you're going to go 6.4 and plan on deleting, I'd do it soon. H&S is suspending their delete-capable tuners and the last ones in shops are all that might be left forever.

I vote 6.4 as well. Love my truck. And Spartans are still for sale and are nice tuners. My roommate has a 2012 cummins and his truck is nice, but the 6.4 is better.
