10 Degrees on #2

Just my info. Last night the temp dropped to 10 degrees and I have a tank full of #2 with 9 oz of white Power Service added at fill up. Last night while the truck was off and plugged in, I added 12 oz of Power Service "911" and another 9 oz of white Power Service. Started perfect and ran perfect this morning. I am not an advocate of #2 year round as I live in northern Wisconsin, but, this was an accidental test for #2 and additives. Everyone have a Merry Christmas.

I've made it to Tahoe in freezing temps. I made it back with only diesel in my tank and some good tires....

So with this said, do you prefer one additive over another?

I was running a big jug of power service white to see if there was any difference in mileage or engine cackle, it made absolutely zero difference for my truck. The whole number 2 diesel late in the year was a mis-calculation, I thought the temps were going to stay above 20 degrees....I put the power service white and 911 in for my mental safety. Due to the wicked cold temps up here, I keep a bottle of 911 just for safety. Other then the 911, I will not be running any additives, it just did not do anything for mileage or noise. I don't know if was PS.org or PS Nation, I read an interesting thread where several guys responded with their take on additives and one of the moderators chimed in with "I have 1.2 million miles on my powerstroke with nothing more than pure diesel".

Sorry for the ommition, yes, all of our pumps offer winter blend (commonly referenced as #1) and I will not add any additives to the #1 unless it is headed for 20 to 30 below zero for any stretch.
