Well, I'm back with a new (to me) truck.

The F250 I bought off eBay turned out to be a bit of a lemon. When I picked it up, the speedo only registered 1/2 the velocity of the vehicle when it worked at all. Consequently, the mileage registered was only 1/2 (at best) the actual miles travelled. Also, the rear main seal leaked. Luckily for me, the guy who sold it to me turned out to be a stand-up salesman. He took the vehicle back and returned my money (minus the original ship charge).

But, I just bought another powerstroke. It's a '99 with the Banks system in it. I bought this private near my home, so I got to look at it before throwing down the cash. It's in excellent shape, and it is POWERFUL. I'll post some pics when I get a chance to take some this week.

It has a Banks turbo, exhaust, tranny control module. I'd like to know if the intercooler from Banks is worth its money. I think I have handle on the maintenance stuff for the rig, along with some of the "common" mechanical issues the 7.3's had.

Oh, does anyone know of a link for the $30 cam position sensors on eBay? I've heard several owners tell me they're legit, but I can't seem to find them.

Oh, I didn't blame the truck for the condition it was in. Unfortunately, the truck was used very hard, and, simply put, its true condition wasn't fully disclosed.

I just took delivery of the new ride last night, and it runs great. It's in fantastic condition, and a far cry from the previous vehicle.

Reiterating, this truck has a Banks system in it. It's obvious the turbo is Banks, as is the exhaust system (muffler has an emblem on it indicating Banks equipment) and the transmission control module. I was told that the chip in it is the 25hp chip. Also, I was told that the injectors come from Banks, but that I can't verify (at least I don't know how).

I've heard that the Banks intercooler adds some decent hp. Does anyone know if this is true, and, if so, how much? What are its benefits? I don't haul heavy stuff, and the horsepower is overkill, but I can live with that.

I just put some pics up of my new (to me) truck. It's MUCH nicer than the one I owned previously, for only $1000 more than the last ride. And, this one has a Banks system in it.
