Broke the trans temp sender...now what?? :( HELP!!!!!!!

Stupid me over-tightened the trans temp sender in the test port on the side of the transmission and it broke..... My question is, what now? It is leaking fluid when running now of course... Have a few ideas but I want to see what you all have to say about it. 99 7.3 auto. Help me!!!! I hate life right now.

Stock pan yes, but the test port is on the tranny itself. Was thinking about dropping the pan and trying to tap it out again at the same size? Or punching it out then praying the threads aren't effed up. Thoughts?
