Swapping diesel into 66 Bonneville

I have been planning a diesel swap into my 66 bonneville for years now... like 15 years now. When I started planning it, my choices were basically a 12v, a 6.5L, or a 7.3L. In the meantime I built a Caddy 500 to drop in it but now its crunch time.

The obvious answer is Duramax, but the 6.7L is looking pretty attractive as well. Is it a nightmare to swap and delete the DPF/EGR stuff? Is it something I should consider or stick with the Dmax? What are the major hurdles to swapping the 6.7L into something?

I'm not as worried about the fabrication part... I'm good with that. I just don't want to have nightmares getting it to run in a non-stock vehicle. Any links to 6.7L swaps?
