Yes you can. Banks makes a turbo kit for the 7.3l idi, and so does hypermax

You can not compare an IDI to a DI powerstroke, completely different technology

I made my Samsung SGH-I997 send this.

I had a '89 7.3 that I put a Hypermax turbo kit / intercooler on and BOY did that wake up that motor!! Very well made up kit that went together extremely well. Back then there weren't that many vehicles that could keep up.

SCT, no studs...yet, Dual OEM intake air filter housings, Banks intercooler & intake elbow, Banks exhaust system, Windrunner ported intake manifold, Bullet Proof Diesel remote oil cooler & thermostat, AirDog2 (plus a couple spares), Power steering filter (Amsoil dual-bypass), MagTec deep ATF pan, Electric oil pre-lub pump, Dakota Digital gauges.
