Ford warranty tranfer to Canada

I'm buying a powerstroke and am wondering if Ford is going to fight me to transfer the 100k miles warranty to a Canadian residence. I'm buying an American truck.

Much appreciated.

Actually just to be sure, all powerstrokes have a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty right?

New or used? Talk to a dealer in your area that you'd want doing warranty work (and possibly get something in writing to back up what they say) I have heard bits on the news about Canadian dealers not honoring warranty for a new vehicle purchased and imported from the US. Apparently, there is a class-action lawsuit in the works against the Canadian Automotive Dealers Association over this whole warranty mess and high purchase costs.

Here's a little reading:

keep us updated on getting the truck up here. i am on the look out for a crew cab and they are alot cheaper across the border and i'm thinkin that might be the best route. i'm not worried about warranty tho, i'm lookin for a 95-2002 with the 7.3.
