have a 89 F350 with a 94 7.3L PSD in it, recently everytime i try an start it, all it does is makes a clicking sound, so i have to get a family member or friend to come hit the starter? while i try an start it and it fires right up, been told its the ground wires, but not sure

i know its NOT the battery, truck runs great-when started everything works, even with 6 150 watt KC's on at ounce since i know that puts a major load on the battery

but any help is much appreciated

Sounds like a bad starter.
I spent half of my day yesterday with the same problem with my 97 psd. I cleaned the cable connections, replaced the fender solenoid, had advance auto test the starter (tested good), had them test the batteries (both good) so I replaced the "good starter" with a new one and she fires right up now.
