hey if you wanna really keep the bad guys away... get a train horn and wire it into the alarm... that way when it goes off it really goes off and that would really get some attention... LOL

well I am sure you could wire it up to where you have to hit a switch to were it would work or not with the alarm... but how funny would that be if someone was breaking into your truck and that went off... i am sure it would scare the poop out of them and make them run like little biotches....

I bought mine on eBay for around $40 and installed it myself. It works from about 1000 feet and is programmable. I have it set to wait about 20 seconds for the glow plugs to warm up. It has been in for about 3 years, only problem is I should have wire in the aux relay that came with it for the parking lights because the internal relay didn’t last long with all my light hooked to it. It was a bit of a pain to wire it in and program it, took me about 4-5 hours.

I will just add pay to have it installed its a major pita to install very time consuming and programming everything sucks especially if your directions are lacking. I did it once and only once will gladly pay to have someone else cus on the install!

I have the Viper alarm system with auto start the alarm is great. The remote has a little screen and shows which part of the truck has been broken into if it has and what not. The auto-start though works good if my truck starts within the alotted time the engine cranks (usually around 2-3 seconds). Could just be my truck though cause I remember it use to work extremely well when my dad had it and now that he installed it on his new truck, it starts up everytime. Idk the price since my Dad got it installed before he handed it to me but I can find out for you if you want.
