I have a new '08 f-350 diesel, w/5000 mi. Pulling my 5th wheel up mountain highways at 80 mph, tach reading 2500 - 2900 rpm and the turbo winding up there is sounds from underhood like cavatation of a pump, or a loose flap doing some banging. It only occours under that extreme load. Taking my foot off the excellerator and the noise quits. What's up? Is it a worry that the shop can fix or is it inherent with the power plant?
I appreciate any and all input. Bobh |

Bob,
Did you ever figure out the problem? I am having the same problem, but I also lose power when the banging starts. Don |
