6.0 ran rough won't start

my '04 6.0 just turned the 100,000 k mark and wadda ya know, while i pulled in my drive last night i put it in park and noticed it idled rough, this morning it started but wasn't getting fuel and just shut down, at this point i have put 10gal of fuel in it changed the filters and cleaned the housings, still not starting even after cycling the pump over and over, when I put fuel in the secondary filter housing on top its gone after cranking, could this be the pesky HPOP problem? Whats the deal?
