nope, the 6.4 is and international motor. cummins is not gonna put the 5.9 in the dodge anymore, they are changing to the 6.7, which i think is a v-8......but ford will still have an international and dodge will still be a cummins....

Yeah Marc the 6.7 is still gonna be an inline six. And Ford won't have a cummins until at least 2013 or maybe never...

Well that makes me happy knowing that the powerstroke legend isnt going to die

I feel that the legendary powerstroke is no longer made, that being the 7.3. I hardly think the 6.0 will ever be considered a legend. Let's hope the new 6.4 becomes the next legendary diesel for Ford.

I think all the above posts are correct and to add to 99stroker's comment about legendary diesels ~>
I think in the era post 7.3... besides old ironsides cummins... the Duramax is the legend in the making. I do hope ford gets its stuff together and actually gets a quality, high powered, #1 product back on the road. All the bells/whistles and what not = nothing when the motor doesn't live up to the rest of the truck. Thank god some of the 6.0's were good, and are definately fast but like I said it's nothing w/o a reliable motor. As a side note, a stock cummin's in a ford = complete package imo

Yeah, I agree. From what i've seen the duramax trucks do in pulls and drag racing, they certainly are very capable of huge amounts of power. In fact I have seen more duramaxes run quicker times and pull further on average than powerstrokes. They still haven't matched the Cummins. IMO that's the best diesel engine ever to go in a pickup especially the 94-98 12v's, followed very closely by the 7.3. That may get some frowns, some disagreement. But, how many Fords do you see get Cummins conversions? I have seen a surprising amount in the past year alone, and know a couple of guys who have them first hand and I must say it's impressive. Yet how many Dodges do you see getting a powerstroke or a duramax getting shoehorned in? Once again this is my opinion, and we all know what opinions are like.....:-)
