4-hi launching
when you launch in 4-hi do you leave it in 4-hi when you keep going or do you switch back after you launch?

personally I switch back right away in my dads truck cause he has auto locking hubs in mine it doesn't matter cause i have manual locking so I normally just stick with 2wd
|

I wouldn't wanna change when you are giving it that much FUN.... it might just happen to break something and I am sure you don't want that

mine has auto locking hubs too, but sometimes the right front hub wants to stick so i have to do it manually.

Mine has auto-lock hubs I usaully drop it right back to 2HI after the launch

wont matter because they wont disengage until after you let go the throttle... their will be too much pressure on it..... oh and my hubs were sticking too... auto hubs tend to do that so im just replacing mine with Warn Premium Hubs next week......

will it hurt anything to run say a quarter mile in 4-hi? or would it just slow me down?

I run the quarter all the way WOT in 4WD High...kick it out after I am coasting in the rundown lane. Just my

nothing will happen as long as you don't turn... well now let me rephrase that nothing should happen but remember when you start using things in the way they are not intended they are bound to fail sometime... so for now it will be find but you will prob have to peplace the hubs sooner...
