door keypad entry

does anyone know how to reset the code for the keypad on the door? I bought my truck used and do not know the code,is there a way to reset it without knowing the code?

The code is located on the factory code card that should be in the owner's manual. If you don't have that, you can find the 5 digit code on the vehicle's control module. If you can't find the control module you can always go to the dealer. They'll fix you up.

Once you have the factory code you can make your own code like this:

1. Enter factory code
2. Within 5 sec. press 1*2 on the keypad
3. Enter your own 5 digit code, each number w/in 5 sec. of each other
4. The doors will again lock then unlock to confirm that your new code is programmed

--> both the factory code and your new personal code will work to operate the doors.

If you hit the 7*8 and 9*0 buttons at the same time you can lock your doors.

There are other features. Just ask if you have any more questions. Good luck.

i dont think the factory code card is in the owners manual, ill just take it to the dealer thx.

What are the other features? i'm interested i knew about the "make your own code" and lock feature- but there's more?
