what can I expect out of a factory turbo
Ok so how much boost can I get out of a factory turbo without cooking it? I have an '02 F-350 and I bought an edge evo 2, afe stg 2 intake, it has gauges and exhaust and is soon getting the 6.0 IC conversion. I have not put any of the aftermarket stuff on yet but I want to know how far I can go with the stock turbo.
Thanks, Darin |

Depending on how long you want it to last, I'd try to keep it well under 30, maybe 27 max. I've never blown a stocker, so I may be low. I also tow alot, which makes it a little worse

When I had the stock injectors and the TS chip I could hit 30 easily. Once I put the stage 2's in the turbo lasted about 150 miles. I could easily push 30-35 # real easy. With what you have I would say you will be fine.

anythign over about 26PSI with a stock turbo is useless anyway. The air over that is so hot and turbulant that it wont help anything, and acutaly may performe worse than the lower boost level.
