how do i know if i have a plow package

i am looking to set my truck up with a plow, but i have no idea what options it has. is there a way for me to find out what it has from the factory in terms of packages....i just don;t knwo where to look. i know chevys usually have a build sticker with all options packages, but how do you know on a ford...

Ford uses an 86m code for the snow plow prep package.

More info if you have the snow plow package the front spring code will be X.

How to determine what springs you have

Spring code will be on sticker inside driver door seal.

thanks. it looks like i don;t have the plow package. do i need to beef up the front springs then to handle a plow or do some of you guys plow with the 5200lb springs...

I would find some 6000# springs! and make sure you have a good tranny cooler!
