Question hydraulic or gas shocks?

Need new shocks, can anyone tell me what is the better shock, gas or hydraulic? My truck hauls a four wheeler and camp trailer durring summer and fall, other-wise it's a weekend/sometimes daily driver. I like the cost of pro comp shocks on four wheel parts.com, 141.99 for four hydraulic shocks and a steering stabalizer (es3000) or 149.99 for gas shocks and a stabalizer(es9000). Or are there some better deals out there? Thanks for any opinions.

The best shocks I've run are Bilstein HD's or KYB mono-max.

Edit: I had dual Procomp's that were nice, but didn't last long for some reason.
