SCT for stick shift truck

i was talking to "Kornfed" (member here) the other night, he has a 6 speed dually truck, if he got the SCT for a tuner, would it have any effect on the truck as in shifting wise? would the SCT recognize the truck had a stick or not?

just some thoughts that i had.

It should recognize that. But if he is getting custom tunes make sure whoever does the tunes knows its a stick

Yeah, I second the thought that whoever tunes it, make sure they know its a manual.

that makes my head hurt LOL. Matt at spartan diesel makes tunes just for manual trannies.

I put the PPE on my brothers 6 speed and it asked for tranny mode and I just put it on stock and he hasn't had any problems. I thought it would have been cool to reprogram his arm but he didn't want to.
