Looking to get a PSD – it was not worked hard?
So I am looking around to get a PSD. I read all over you guys say drive them hard and make them work and they will last forever (with proper maintenance of course). I found a 2002 that has 115k on it and the guy never towed anything with it or even put much weight in it. He said that he once put a bunch of concrete in the bed and drove it a few miles but that was about it. This thing was a freeway driver and treated like a baby its whole life.
I read the posts about what to do before you buy. If all that checks out, should I worry that it has 115k wosie miles on it? I plan to tow my 5k lbs boat and in the future a 30ish foot toy hauler. |

Maintenance is very important. Have you had an Oasis ran on it?

not yet. I am not quite ready to buy.

I wouldn't be too worried about the easy miles, as long as it feels fine when you hammer it

I agree. If it checks out and runs good then consider it. I would get and OASIS report run on it anyway.

ditto on the Oasis report. check the fluids, undercarraige, well, just check the whole truck out!!!!!! and if it seems good, and the oasis comes back clean then it may in fact be a good buy!!!

I think if the price is right and it's what you want go for it.
