wow, that is alot, i know this is a whole different animal, but the turbine engine in an F-16 will use abot 47000 pounds per hour of fuel in full afterburner. at i think 6.7 pounds per gallon that would be 7014 gallons per hour!!!!!

Yeah but that is at full consumption. That dam diesel is at its most effecient. Wonder what it is like at full throttle.
