I have an 05 f350 with the triple dog bullydog programmer. I am still using the factory exhaust. I know i need to upgrade the exhaust system but dont have the money right now. My question if i eliminate the cat will it reduce my exhaust temps? And what exhaust temps are to high for the factory exhaust? I have the bully dog outlook monitor also but i dont know what temps to set my defuel levels? Next powerstroke i get the exhaust will be the first upgrade for sure.

I sell alot of the AFE cat delete pipes. They fit directly into the stock exhaust, and later if you get an AFE system your set. 1250 will melt your engine if you hold it at that or more for a period of time. I regularly see 1650 during a sled pull. We usually set the de-fuel at 1250.

yes it will help. A complete madrel bent system will give you the most, but the cat delete will help alot by itself. The cat is definatley the biggest restriction in the system.
