diesel delema

had a so called pro try to install a set of fog lights to the accessory switch in my 2005 super duty ,,,thats when problems occured first of all power to switches died so he checked fuses he couldnt get the tester light in the block fuse position 305 so he stuck a piece of wire in and attached it too the tester,,,the other end of the wire he stuck in the what was oviously the negitive and smoke occures from the short truck died ...at that point a little too late i may add told him to leave the truck alone...ive checked every fuse they all seem fine message display center now says check gauges all the warning lights come on. truck will start but dies seconds later what the heck did he fry can any one help

Any of the relays fried?? Also, you check both the under hood and under dash set of fuses?

Well I am sorry to say, but it sounds like you should take the truck into a reliable shop. Let them fix the problem and send the bill to the shop that screwed up the truck in the first place. There could be melted wires, shorts, fuseable links, ecm, pcm, the Gem modual could be shorted out. Numerous electrical issues could exsist now. Sorry about the other person doing this to your truck. But needless to say it could take hours to trouble shoot and find all the electrical problems that you may have now.

I agree with BigC. A good tech would have known about the GEM modual.
