First Highway miles

Well with just 2500 miles on the truck we went for our first long day trip yesterday. Drove 600 miles round trip with the cruise set at 67 mph and the computer showed 19.2 mpg and by pencil and paper we got 19.04 mpg. Man are we happy with this truck and it sure rides a lot better than the old Ranger. I'm sure becoming a big time PSD fan fast.

Looks like you found the sweet spot (below 70 with cruse on) also seems where I get the best milage.

The truck is a 06 F250 extended cab, longbox, FX4 4x4, camper special, manual trans and 373 gears plus almost every option but snow plow. With no mods. I held at 1950 RPM's, so far everyone has said to stay under 2000 to get mileage. I do use an fuel additive.

lower the speed by about 4mph and you'll be hitting 20mpg
