Question Need some Help!

I just bought my first F-250 the first morning it wont start, guy I bought from said to loosen the fuel filter??? It ran great for the test drive and then about
3/4 way home started chugging??? Very confused and wife is mad!!! Help Please!! 2005 with 6.0L

where are you located? You need a veteran member to come take a look, maybe walk you through a few tests.

I don't know alot.. first night I test drove truck it started and was running fine except for a small chug at 55mph, but then after shutting off and he went to leave, it would not start and he had to tow home. He then called me the next day and said it was all fixed, they changed the fuel filters and said it was running fine, so we went and drove the truck again and it did run great, so I traded my truck for his and left. About 20 miles down the hwy it started to chug a little again but never really lost any power, got home parked it and went to bed, got up next morning and tried to start and all it does is turn over but wont start, ran the batteries down and have been charging them but they will only charge to 75 to 85%, so only get a couple of tries before dead again. Guy I traded with said to loosen fuel filter and cycle the key and it will start, I tried that but it did not work. I am not a tech buy any means and the wife is very upset. Truck is a 2005 F-250 4x4 crew long box 6.0L one owner with 236K. Thanks for any help that can be given!!!!
