Air bag light flashing and cruise control not working.
I just changed my steering box on my 2002 F350. When I got in the truck to move it the wheel was tight.....I heard something break loose. Now my airbag light is on along with my horn not blowing. My cruise control lights on the steering wheel arent on along with my cruise not functioning.... Any ideas? I would imagine something electrical broke off....not sure though....?????
Thanks, Steve |

You probably broke the clockspring in the steering column. It's what connects the electronics in the steering wheel like the airbag, horn and stereo controls to the wiring harness in the dash. When you replace it you will need to make sure your wheels are centered, pointing straight forward, and your clockspring is centered. They aren't too hard to replace, you have to pull the steering wheel and the airbag off.
