Prices on used diesels...........
Alrighty, so in Washington state, people are trying to sell there used powerstroke, duramax, or cummins think that a for example 1999 4x4 truck with 230k, auto transmission, and stock is worth $15,000.
They are high as a kite. Honestly... What drove the market up so much on these trucks... They used to be cheaper 10 years ago. I am buying a Jeep Rubicon instead now I think. I have been searching for a lower miled diesel for $15,000 and it aint happening.... Do people seriously buy these? The same diesels have been for sale on Seattle Craigslist for months upon months... Nobody is buying them and yet owners still think they are going to sell them for that much... It's ridiculous. $15,000 should get a me nice Manual transmission (Autos are garbage, I don't want one) 4x4 turbo diesel with around 100k miles. I would think... And diesel isn't even cheap anymore, our government is taxing the **** out of it... ![]() I really want to find a 97 F250 4 door, shortbed, 4x4, Powerstroke. That is the truck I desirably want but they are hard to find... Can someone fill me in on this delima, or is it just my state that is full of tards? |

Just buy in Canada
Diesels here are still high but by the looks of it they're cheaper here. Just weed out the oil field trucks. I just bought my 07 for 14k with 90k miles on it.

I drove all over NY trying to buy a 1999-2001 dodge for 15k or less. Didnt happen. 12k gets you junk in a 4x4 extended cab diesel. I paid 15.5k for my 04 F350 CCSB, they guy thought it needed a FICM, 8 injectors, and new front wheel bearings. Some soldier, and 2 $11 napa bearings later all is perfect. But I feel like I got a deal. Seems like 17k and up is norm in the diesel world.

Keep looking man poeple think they have gold sometimes you just have to find a motivated seller. Most of the people around here put outrageous price tags on their 250's but I think its just to see if anyone will bite, that and a lot of people go off of blue book
