GPR Installation
1997, 7.3:
I took off the old GPR tonight. When I took the rubber boot off the large hot-lead terminal, I found the terminal and post to be really corroded and showing lots of signs of too much heat. The old rubber boot is brittle from years of heat, and a bit of the insulation is melted on the heavy cable that feeds the relay. I'm wondering if I should coat the hot terminal of the new GPR with some battery terminal protector before putting on the new rubber boot. I'm thinking this might help keep the corrosion down and the connection good. Would this be a good move?
