advice?

Hey guys. so i just sold my bought my first power stroke. It is a 2000 f250 5sp. it has a k&n air intake 4' exhaust and a superchips programmer. i was wondering what would best next move. some people say to get rid of the k&n and others say to change the programmer asap. so i figured id post this and get some guidance from you guys.... i can finally say im proud to rock a power stroke

I'd say you're on the right track!

If you go with custom tunes, I recommend PHP! IDK if you have gauges already, but it would definitely be a good idea, the stock gauges are just idiot lights. A upgraded tranny cooler would be a good idea, as well as a valve body fro the tranny, hopefully I'll have mine in a few months! Read around, there's TONS of great info here!

get some new tunes, PHP,, Tony Wildman, on a 6 pos chip, def, a trans cooler like ToMang said, and a good set of guages like AutoMeters. Guages is the main think want to make sure your EGT and Oil are not getting to hot.

you can get a 6.0 cooler pretty cheap off a wrecked truck, or go to Performance Truck Products - DPF Delete Kits & Diesel Performance Parts from MBRP, H&S, EDGE, Diamond Eye, Banks, BullyDog
i think they have them.

or just order a new 6.0 tranny cooler from the dealership.

for the 7.3 you will want custom tunes, so you will have to buy new, maybe buy a used 6 position chip and have it reburned by a tuner
