Man I got burned.....

Hey guys, I bought a SCT X3 a few weeks ago off Craigslist and finally got some tunes from Matt at Gearhead. Thought paying 250 for the X3 was gonna be a good deal but come to find out it s still married and I have to pay 150 to have it unlocked... Anyone have experience with sending your tuner in to SCT? I was wondering how long it would take to get it back. If you guys can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I want to be able to use my new toy lol..

dont fee bad man, same thing happened to me, and i got it from a member on here.....Ive been meaning to send mine off, but havent got around to it yet...trying to get it done before xmas i hope...

Yeah, it kinda hurts but what can I do? I guess I will be sending it back to SCT when I scrounge up 150 bones. Dont understand some people. I wouldnt screw someone like that.

Man that really sucks, sorry to you about that. I'm going to be selling mine here pretty soon and I ended up having to go back to the dealership to set mine back to stock so it would be unlocked for the next lucky dude. I got so excited getting my new truck that I forgot to return it to stock.
When you contact SCT on the phone just be prepared to be on hold for a long time before someone helps you. I found it easier to email them or leave them a phone message and they will call you back. Nothing bad against them they have great product and service but trying to get someone to help you on the phone sucks. Not sure about the turn around time but it will be diffidently worth the wait. You will have a grin that makes your face hurt when you first use it good luck

Im the same way, i would never sick someone like that....if its locked i would tell them...but some people arent like that....and same here with the money...im a broke college kid, so theres very little extra cash...reason i havent sent mine off yet..
