Replace the coolant temperature sensor?

Would it be a good idea to replace the original coolant temp sensor on a 7.3? The truck is 11 years old and has 230k miles on the original sensor. While replacing the water pump I thought it may be a good idea to change out this sensor. Any other items you would suggest to change out while replacing the water pump?

Actually, you can since you have it apart, but those sensors don't usually go bad.
