Trading in
Considering trading in my 2004 F250 XLT crew cab with the 6.0L on a 2008 F350 Lariat crew cab with a 6.4L. I was one of those stubborn 6.0L owners who replaced the EGR cooler 5 times before blocking it. Had other problems with the 6.0L. Are there any concerns with the 6.4L?

Personally i dont own a 6.0 or 6.4, but from what I've read, parts are gonna get outragous for them, being it was only produced for a cple years.
Go check out the 6.4 section in the forums....ought to beable to find out what 6.4 owners are having issues with......Also come say hello in the CPA chapter section! |

The labor on the 6.4s is ridiculous I don't personably own one but my father does and the fuel filter(for example) is 750$ to replace de to its location.
Also the DPf (diesel particle filter) is similar to the EGR on the 6.0. if left unattended expect problems down the road. |

I've had issues with my 6.0, but the truck is paid for and I don't want to pay $33,000 to start a new batch of problems. Chuck I live in Salisbury, I think I have seen your 250 on the road around here.
