2004 6.0L F450 fuel economy

What is the average mpg you guy's get on a 6.0L? What modifications have gained you better mileage? I probably am wasting my time with my truck considering it has a Harbor Truck Body Workmaster box on it. Not the most aerodynamic.

My work truck only gets 10 mpg. It weighs approx 11,000lbs. Looking to do something to increase the mpg. Diesel is aroung $3.29/gal.

You could try a tuner I guess - most seem to boast they'll give ya about a 2MPG increase in the economy tune. If we don't have one already I think I'll start a thread in General Discussion on everyone's tips and tricks to better fuel economy.
