i remember seeing a thread on what was the best wax. well my local new's just reported that consumer report's did a study on automotive wax's. the best for shine, durability and and overall protectiveness was Turtle Wax Liquid Carnuba Wax and Black Magic Liquid Wax. personaly i use nothing but black magic on my truck unless the part's store is out then i use meguier's. just little info for ya's to read and ponder.

Zymol liquid blue is very good, easy on, easy off. 2nd only to Zaino, which is far more money.

here is the skinny--
i have used all of the over the counter waxes except for zaino show polish and zymol is the best, longest lasting on the market. most waxes look good for a few weeks, but the zymol lasts twice as long as blackmagic, mcguiers, or any othe the others.
its about 14$, but it will last a long time, and since it takes a while to wax a truck, use something good so you dont have to do it as often.
paint will last 10x longer if waxed a least 4 times a year , helps keep the paint from drying out and saves your clear coat, which protects the paint from wearing out.

check out this link on a regular joes first hand experiance....let me know what you think Bill.

I know I need to wax ....... obviously have not done it yet and I've had the truck for over a year...... Really nervous about causing swirls etc in the black paint.

Got a quote from a professional.... $400

i think there's no way i would pay that much for wax when black magic does awesom IMHO. all i do is wax twice a year and wash it every weekend or two. after i dry it i go over it with the spray detailer and it look's down right sexy for a truck.
