a/c can recharger thingy
Hey all, my a/c is ok...and just ok. I did the compressor washer thing. I did the heater hose/vacuum line thing...both of which helped a little.
So then I was thinking...its a 2002 truck with 70,000 miles. I am the second owner and am sure the a/c has never been serviced. So maybe the freon, r-134 or what ever is in there needs to be recharged. Has anyone ever used one of those recharge kits you can buy at the autoparts store? Did it help? Is it worth it? SHould I just pony up and go to an A/C shop? |

I have never used one of the recharge kits. But my brother wanted to recharge his in his jeep. We went to a store and they were on sale because they were getting rid of them because summer is almost over. It was only $50 Canadian for the kit and my brother said it was really easy to use. He even has some left over and said he could recharge mine too. Hope that helps.
