Powerstroke mantaince

I own a 1999 F-250 4x4 diesel with 87000 miles just wondering if I need to do anything besides fuel filter and other normal mantaince. It runs great someone told me I should adjust the valves but i dont see why. Any help appreciated.

i have never heard anything about adjusting the valves. just keep the oil changed and fuel filters changed and you will be fine. thats pretty low miles on that 7.3 take care of it and it will take care of you for a long time

One of the selling points of the T444e, the industrial version of the 7.3, was the fact the valves don't need to be adjusted...like the 5.9 Cummins ISB.

The big things are clean and water free fuel, clean oil and clean fresh coolant. Make sure those things are good and the engine will out last the trucl. Do you have an auto? If so I would cooler line flush it every 30k.
