Oil Filter and injector cleaner

I just recently bought a 2007 F-250 with a 6.0L.... My first diesel. I love it so far. I have a couple questions. I have read a lot of posts about oil filters so when it was time to change oil I got a Motocraft filter. However when I took off the cap on the filter I noticed it was a NAPA filter of some sort and apparently it is different than the normal filter. Just from the fact that it said " do not reuse cap" I assume it is sold with the cap. Is this type of filter any good. I would rather have the standard filter in it but I didn't get the original cap with the truck. What do you suggest?

My other question.... I own a rental property and when some of the old tenants moved out they left a case of Schaeffer's Nutra fuel additive. I read on it and online that it is made for diesel engines and is basically a injector cleaner. Would this be something good to run through at least every once in a while? I have about 20 bottles of it so I hate to let it go to waste.
