Thinking about this...

OK...so I'm cruising EBay and I found this:

eBay Motors: Ford PowerStroke Aux Idle Control Power Module F-250 (item 230161935012 end time Aug-21-07 16:17:14 PDT)

What do y'all think? It's cheap, and adds some fun capability's. SO???

For that price I say go for it, I had one on my truck and it was great in the winter time.

Yah, if ya don't have a high idle setting on a chip or something - go for it -- some trucks come stock with those and that is a pretty cheap price!!

Anyone know what they are going for NOT on ebay? Currently the bid is at $50, (b/c I bid on it) and if it's much more from the dealer or something...I'll probably pass. Thanks.

Yeah...but it only revs to about 1000rpms. With this thing, you could bump up the idle to 3000 if you wanted to.

If you have the funds check these guys out (if you don't win that)

VMAC | Throttle Commander | Throttle Commander Overview

I've installed 4 or 5 of these in our work trucks. They work great and are an easy install but are kinda pricey. If i remember right around 250 with shipping

I have the factory High Idle...handy during winter, I swear it warms up that much faster, and hopefully will prevent wet stacking since I idle a lot especially at work.

Plus I am planning to add warning lights and other equipment so the auto RPMs to keep the charge up will come in handy.

OK...so I've been searching on the interweb for over 3 hours and I have yet to find anyplace to buy this thing...I can't even find a price. I MIGHT have seen something like 300-400 bucks...so I guess now that the bid is at $60-ish...I should go for it. At least until it gets to about $100.

Anyone have an idea, other than the dealer, where I can get a price for one?
