Pre-Filters

What do you guys think about the pre-filters? waste of money? Sounds like a good idea but from the pictures they dont look like they hinder the air flow quite a bit

naw, as far as hindering i dont think they do that at all, but it helps keep out big chunks like bugs and leaves and what not, i guess it all depends on your aplication

I have one on my truck and man it keeps out a bunch of sheot... for $20 I felt it was better to get one and keep all that crap out of my filter and let it handle the dust and smaller stuff....

The first time I ran my truck with the intake and filter I had already sucked leaves and crap from under the hood somewhere...

I agree they do keep out the big stuff from your filter. You can spend the $20.00 for one with a name on it or steal a pair of the wife's panty hose, cut the leg off, throw it away each month and put the other leg on, next month another pair of panty hose. If you want color--Victoria's Secret has just about any color any pattern you could want!!! :~) Not cheap--just spend my money on the good stuff.
