Question Towing questions and mods?

I just bought a 2000 F-350 dually with 49000 miles on it and no mods. I pull a 12k lbs fifth wheel 2 or 3 times a month on short trips around south AL and northwest FL. No real steep or hilly terrain here. Curious as to what mods would help me out. Keep in mind I don't want to go high dollar like injectors and turbos. Just want a little more power and anything that will keep the tranny in good shape. Great site by the way.

I would start with changing the fluid- start fresh! add a tranny cooler- Patrick I think has a great buy on one right now! get gauges- 3 pod tranny temp, egt and boost is popular, and then look to a tuner with tow tune- SCTs seem popular or the multi-position chips with tunes... A tugger shift kit would also be nice- firm up the shifts, but some of the tune programs will do that too with programming, rather than springs...
Short trips are not bad, but if you need more power and lower egts after that, add water/meth kit- and drop a couple gallon tank in the back...
That's my view...

4" aftermarket exhaust would be on the top of my list.
