Turbo Diesel

Hello guys, I had a thought on the subject of diesels and my next vehicle. I've got a f150 right now, but in the near future (3-4 years) I'm hoping to purchase a beautiful f250 turbo diesel. What do you think the chances are of ford discontinuing the turbo diesel engine? Personally I love the sound of the turbo spooling. And really without the turbo the diesels to me are kind of boring. Would you guys be a little angry as well if they stoped making the turbo diesels?

Unless the EPA forces them too. You have no worry of ford discontinuing the diesel.

um..... they are adding turbos to gassers now from ford for some time now....



if this crap happens tho. theres prolly some aftermarket companies that will make a retro fit kit.

Don't be so quick to say that guys. I heard from a very reputable source that the 6.7 is the last turbo diesel they are going to make for Fords. The next diesel is going to be a 6.1 liter naturally aspirated in 2014. Then after that they are going to discontinue diesels all together to make way for bigger ecoboost gassers.

Its true. Its not a very well known thing yet, but with the problems they have been having with the 6.7 they are going to quit making them.

I can see diesels phased out before i can see a NA offered for the simple fact that theyd be gutless and dirty by nature.
