I'm interested, but have never gotten a good answer as to how well it holds up if you strap a couple dirt bikes up against it. Because of that, I haven't pursued it further.

On one hand, it would be great for storing my SCUBA gear to and from the site but on the other hand I dirt bike as much as I SCUBA and don't want to damage it as a result.

You SHOULD be ok with the bikes since they dont tend to move around too much when strapped down, however will you have the bed space to fit the canister for the cover and the dirtbikes?

Should be no problem, I have the short bed but the bikes tire sits right at the crease between the bed and the tail gate. Adding the canister to the front of the bed will shift the tire more onto the tail gate. Since i have the bed extender, that shouldn't be a problem.

My only concern is will it dent in or something as a result of tying the bikes down against it and cause the retraction to fail.
