Just can't catch a break

After my truck being off the road for the last month cause the 1st (so called) mechanic I had working on it FUBAR the brakes on the left side and I did not know it. I spent over $600 to have a 2nd shop go over the whole brake system and replace what was needed (some of it has been 3x, either from mechanical error or part malfunction). Left side brake adj installed upside down, locked up rear brakes and blow out wheel cylinder(replaced 2x, once was it was bad) M/C (3x, 1x time leak, 2nd time bad new part, 3x just to rule out pressure problem) Vacuum booster (3x also, 2 bad parts [reman: DONT EVER DO THIS WITH BRAKES], last time was a Ford original) Then calipers, 1 by me cause it locked up, 1 by shop cause it locked up and then both cause the new left side started leaking out of one of the piston seals and pads 2x, plus rotors the 1x. All this has been in the last four months.
Picked up from shop on Weds evening and drove it home. Oh I also had them change the oil, another $120. Truck ran good, stop better then it has in a long long time.
Come up to today take it out to look for a filter and pipe to I can make my own intake. After being out for about an hour I am driving down the road and the truck just quits. All the dash lights come on and it cranks, but no start, nothing not even smoke. Call the wife, she comes up and we chain tow it to the shop. Attached the scanner, not sure of all the codes he pulled (I think it was like 4/5 of them). One of them being the cam sensor which Ford just replaced in Dec under a recall notice.
Alright off my soap box, had to rant to someone. This truck is really starting to irritate the crap out of me.
