6.0.....I sure need some advice

Went camping this weekend. Met a current Ford salesman who said I probably made a mistake buying this 07, 350, 6.0. He said this model nearly put Ford in a bad way with all the repair problems. I am not mechanically inclined and have little knowledge of diesels but I love my truck. I bought it in May 09 with 23,500 miles and 8 months of factory warranty remaining. It now has 46,600 miles and runs great. I guess I just need some reassurance that it was the right thing to buy. This truck pulls my 5th wheel camper of 13,000 lbs and I dont even know it's back there. Can anyone lift my spirits and tell me what you think. Thanks

I'm sure he'd take it back in on trade, cheap. 06-07 6 liter's are known for being reliable. All the problems that plauged the 03-04 models were revised. Not that that doesn't mean you shouldn't watch your egt's when towing.

Funny that the 07 has had the least amount of warranty claims.
Typical car salesman that wants to sell you something. Disregard his BS.

Luck of the draw with the 6.0. Your probably fine. He doesnt know his a$$ from a hole in the ground. Salesmen only know what they have been told. You should get some gauges to keep an eye on things especially when towing. Enjoy your truck!

Oh yah, you should get the extended warranty before the original runs out. Money well invested for your peace of mind.
