Are you talking about the crankshaft seal?. If you are i know when i did mine on my 2000 f250 7.3 psd, you have to replace the wear sleeve as well as the crankshaft seal. Because the original seal wears a groove into the sleeve and if you try and reuse it the new seal will leak. When i bought a crankshaft seal from ford and the new wear seal was included. Basically you need a 3 jaw puller to remove the old sleeve and a socket the same diameter as the sleeve and a hammer to reinstall it.
