I would start with raising the step bars. My dad did his and it made a big difference. He just drilled new holes and raised 'em up about 1.5 inches. You lose the plastic pieces, but it's worth it. Then get some wheels and tires. Nice truck!

Well i can tell you that on factory wheels and no leveling kit 285's work good. With 2-3" in the front you can easily clear 33's on 8" or 10" wheels. If it were my truck, Id get a leveling kit, set of Mickey Thompson Classic Locks or Classic 2's, and a set of 33" All Terrains.

well i dont see a big pipe anywhere, or black smoke (speed freak here). i'm not a fan of stock tires (i hate mine) but depending on what your truck is used for, would a lift and big tires be practical? i was looking on ebay and i saw some cheap harley davidson 20 inch superduty wheels that might look really good on an xlt or lariat.

id get at the very least an 8 inch wide wheel if not a 10 to run a 13.5... the 10s would look cooler but be carefull if you drive down gravel roads. wheels that stick out of the fneders will actualy throw rocks up and into your own windshield and break it
