Suggestions on Buffing requested

I've owned my truck for 7 months now, weather is improving and I'd like to get my paint looking mint, a buff job and a nice coat or two of wax. I've washed my truck frequently, the prior owner never touched the roof, it took quite a while to get the black tree crap off. How can I rig up to buff this thing? I need scaffolding to get the roof and hood, any suggestions on making supports to stand on, a work platform if you will. I can only imagine a lifted truck, GEEZE!
My truck is a supercab, I can't reach the entire roof from the bed.

any suggestions?

John
