gas mileage on a big powerstroke?

hey guys im new to pretty much everything. diesels and especially fords. but im lookin around and seen some nice powerstrokes and this one caught my eye. now i gotta drive to school 3 days a week and work 5 and was just wonderin what kinda mileage yall thought this would get. |

Maybe 15mpg on a good day. 10-ish on average. Those tires are BIG...and heavy. Your MPG's are going to suffer with that big a lift and tires!

well thats what i was dreadin hearin. the bad gas is what im tryin to get away from now. ive got an ole 89 suburban on 35s and its horrible. say i were to find somethin on 35s-38s. would that be any better? or still in the low teens

I have 35"s and I get about 15-18....If I baby it...I can get 20+ mpgs. I hardly EVER baby it though. It's usually balls to the wall....and I get 15 mpg.

With 37s I am getting 11mpg, I am going to regear to 4.30 and HOPEFULLY pick up a few mpg's.

I have my 35's with 3.73 gears. Weight...8000+ lbs!
But i DO have the 6spd...so that helps! |

are those 46" Michelin XML's, if so those are very heavy very stiff riding tires
