cam position sensor problem

I have a 02 psd. Replaced two cps's within a week. what could be causing the sensor to short out??

Are you getting them at the Dealer? If not...I would try there. They're $30-ish bucks!

bought both cam position sensors through the dealer. One was black one was blue. Herd different colors mean different things?

Are you sure it is the cps and not an idm or injector, or fuel pump, or uvc ( under valve cover wiring harness) problem that could be causing you to think it is the cps.

I can see getting a bad sensor but to get 2 in the same week. Seems like there would be something else wrong with the truck.

The one you should be getting is grey and only $30
