4x4 Light?

Alright so I have a 92 F250 that's a 4x4. I put it in 4H and the light on the dash came on like it should. I always put it in 4L and put around the yard after I use it just to spin the gears so they don't seize up. Well apon putting it out of 4H the light wouldn't go off.

I have two concerns
-One, the truck might still be in 4H. This is a silly concern because it has a manual shifter and I'm as forward as possible. I just want to be sure I'm not missing anything. There are only 4 gears right? 2H, 4H, N 4L In that order right? So If I start at the bottom and go up 3 clicks then it should be in 2H. I know this seems absolutely silly but I don't wanna ruin anything.
-Two, how do I get this damn light to go off, or even just reset.
