1997 F250 7.3L motor problem.. need help

I have a 1997 ford f250 7.3l powerstroke with a 5 speed manual trans. i am having trouble with the motor when it is cold. when i start the truck when the motor is cold, it will start up fine. but then when i get in it to drive down the road.. it acts like it has no power... like as if maybe an injector is not firing right. but as soon as the motor warms up to normal running temp, she runs like a bat out of hell. i did a diagnostics test on it and no codes came up... does any body know what might be the problem here and what i have to do to fix it...
thanks
dan

How hard is it on the motor? when the motor is warm, it also has problems when i have it in first, when you stomp on the gas it doesnt want to go anywhere, it takes like approx. 8 seconds to get through first gear, then when i shift it into 2nd, sometimes its a little sluggish.
